The company
A&G Mourtides was founded in 2007 in Athens, but the story begins much
earlier when in the middle of the 19th century the father and son Mourtidis
were engaged in the cultivation and marketing of tobacco. Mourtidi tobacco was
so sought after that it was even exported to American countries. However,
historical developments in the first quarter of the 20th century in both Asia
Minor and the Caucasus were rapid and disrupted family activities.
They left behind stories, events and a legacy that could not but transmit
to her descendants the love for tobacco but also give birth to the need to
continue this great family tradition. Αt the end of the last century, the
idea of A&G Mourtides began to be born. Since then many trips have been
made with a single purpose: the discovery of the finest tobacco and cigars from
around the world.
